  • LECathon

    The LECathon is a corporate acceleration program for teams with students and alumni from The Lisbon MBA and Técnico Lisboa to develop and implement innovative entrepreneurial solutions to a business challenge defined this year by Brisa (e.g. increasing use of via verde). It is an initiative of The Lisbon MBA Entrepreneurship Club (LEC) for students and alumni with an interest in starting a business.

    Hackathon

    Two day event on 18th and 19th of February

    Bringing interdisciplinary teams together to ideate and pitch entrepreneurial ideas to address the challenge. Up to six teams will be selected to continue to the next stage of the program.

    Acceleration

    Eight to ten weeks to develop the business plan

    Each team will be assigned a technical mentor from Brisa, who can help advise on the feasibility of the solution. Teams will also participate in pre-acceleration workshops and be supported by LECathon mentors.

    Incubation (MVP development)

    Collaboration with our partner to develop a first prototype

    Brisa will invite teams to develop a minimum viable product (MVP) for their idea, with continued support from their Brisa and LEC mentors. Teams may work from Brisa’s offices to facilitate coordination and integration of the solution.

    Prizes

    The winning team will win a trip to an European Incubator​

    Prize includes flight and accommodation for the members of the team and 1 week of incubation at an incubator in Europe. Participants will also have the opportunity to have Brisa as their first customer.
